Archery is not all Robin Hood and sticks with string tied to them, the modern form of archery is highly technical and very enjoyable. |

The archery society at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne is one of the yongest societies in the universtiy's Athletic Union. Despite of this, it is already very popular.
The sport of archery comes in many forms from the traditional target archery through to field archery which is reminicent of the days of hunting. By far the most popular form of archery is target archery where arrows are shot at a printed target face over different distances. It is this form of archery that is practiced at the club. |
